Centre of the geopark
Döda fallet is the centre of the geopark. Here is a restaurant, a visitors´ centre, wide wooden ramps, hard-packed gravel ground, a nature path and picnic facilities to accommodate the visitors.
Opening hours
You are welcome to visit the geopark all year round but in the winter it might be difficult due to the amount of snow. At Döda fallet the restaurant, the visitors´ centre and the toilets are closed.

The mobile phone coverage in the geopark is generally good but may depend on your operator.

In the summer of 2025, our visitor center at Döda Fallet will be open on the following days:

Monday, June 2 – Tuesday, June 3: 11 AM – 3 PM
Wednesday, June 4 – Thursday, June 5: 3 PM – 8 PM
National Day, Friday, June 6: 11 AM – 3 PM
Monday, June 9 – Tuesday, June 10: 11 AM – 3 PM
Wednesday, June 11 – Sunday, June 15: 3 PM – 8 PM
Monday, June 16 – Thursday, June 19: 11 AM – 3 PM
Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27: 11 AM – 3 PM
July and August
Monday – Friday, June 30 – August 15: 11 AM – 3 PM

Geology Day – September 13
On Saturday, September 13 we celebrate both Geology Day and Hiking Day, and of course, our visitor center will be open from 11 AM – 3 PM!
